What makes the price of a sofa vary?
Size and number of seats. This is the main factor. A large corner sofa needs more wood, more foam and more fabric than a straight sofa. That is why one corner sofa can cost three times as much as another.
The number of pieces. A 3-piece set usually combines a sofa and two matching armchairs, or two sofas and an armchair. You furnish the whole living room in a single purchase. It costs more than a sofa on its own, but often less than buying each piece separately.
Finish and design. Shaped armrests, visible legs, stitching and the shape of the backrest all take more work. Between two sets of the same size, this is often what makes the difference.
The cover. Velvet is soft and warm, and it catches the light beautifully. It needs a little care in Dakar's climate: more on that below.
Which living room for which budget?
Under 400,000 CFA. This range suits a first apartment or a room you want to refresh without changing everything. You will find a corner sofa (ALLURE), a sofa (OLYMPIA) or a complete 3-piece set (RELAX). For a young couple, the complete set saves buying the armchairs later.
From 500,000 to 800,000 CFA. Our 3-piece sets in bolder colours (VENISE, ANTALYA, MARMARA). The right choice for a living room where you often welcome people: family on Sundays, guests during Korité or Tabaski.
Over 1,000,000 CFA. Our largest models (LIBERTY, NIMBUS), for a spacious living room or a villa. They offer the most seating.
Corner sofa or 3-piece set: which should you choose?
A corner sofa suits a living room where you want plenty of seats in one corner while keeping the centre of the room clear. It works well in rectangular rooms.
A 3-piece set is arranged around the coffee table, in a U shape or face to face. Guests can see and talk to each other: the classic layout of Senegalese living rooms, made for welcoming. It is better suited to square rooms and large living rooms.
Either way, measure the room before choosing. Leave at least 60 cm of walkway around the coffee table, and check the width of doors and stairs for delivery.
How can you tell if a sofa is worth the price?
Before buying, in store or online, check four things:
- The seat: sit for several minutes. Good foam returns to its shape when you stand up.
- The frame: the sofa should neither creak nor move when you lean on an armrest.
- The stitching: it should be straight and even, with no loose threads.
- The dimensions: compare them with your own measurements, not just the photo.

Caring for a velvet sofa in Dakar
Dakar's climate puts fabrics to the test: sun, dust, sea air and humidity during the rainy season. A few simple habits are enough:
- vacuum with a soft brush every week to remove dust;
- blot a stain immediately with a damp cloth, without rubbing;
- keep the sofa out of direct sunlight, which fades colours;
- during the rainy season, air the room so that moisture does not stay in the fabric.
